Why 25.3% ABV?
Unlike other low ABV and mid-strength products, at Le Rixi we set out with no pre-determined alcohol level. Our aim was to create the most perfectly balanced Vodka regardless of what legislation calls for. Flavour, mouthfeel, aroma, finish and versatility when mixing. This is what drove us and Le Rixi is the result.
How does Le Rixi compare to a typical vodka?
Le Rixi is an ultra premium spirit made with the highest quality ingredients and distilled using time-honoured techniques which immediately sets it apart from the vast majority of vodkas on the market. While the process may in principle mirror a typical vodka distillation, the end result is a more balanced and nuanced outcome which is far easier on the palette. By reducing the harsh burn and ethanol-like odour the spirit is “opened up” to reveal a more floral aroma, citrus notes and subtle sweet cereal flavours.
Does Le Rixi work well in cocktails?
A principle aim throughout the creation of Le Rixi was to ensure our spirit retained its key characteristics when mixed. We fully embraced how vodka is typically used, mixed and served so therefore strived for an optimum ABV and calibrated Le Rixi to always deliver a spirit with body, mouthfeel and flavour. Vodka Martinis, Espresso Martinis, Moscow Mules, Vodka Lime Sodas, you name it, they all taste better with Le Rixi. In many ways it can simply be enjoyed the same way as a standard vodka but under the guidance of our globally renowned Drinks Ambassador and Master of Mixology Manja Stankovic we have developed a guide of recommended ratios and tailored ingredient mixes as well as a suite of bespoke cocktail creations unique to Le Rixi.
Is Le Rixi more healthy than typical vodka?
As is the case with all neutral spirit drinks made with distilled alcohol & no additives, Le Rixi is gluten free, free of sugar and contains no allergens or carbohydrates. Four strong reasons why vodka is often the go-to choice of spirit for the health conscious. However, the extra added benefit of Le Rixi is that at 25.3% ABV you will see roughly 35–40% fewer calories for the same volume poured compared to a similar vodka at 40% ABV.
